  1. There are a great many blessed wells around Carron. There is one in Coisceim. There is an old story about it that it was on the left side of the road and one day a woman went to the well for water to boil potatoes but the potatoes would not boil and she brought the water back to the well again, and the well went away and after a few years it came up on the other side of the road. There is also a blessed well in Tarmon and it has a cure for sore eyes. There is also a well in Glan Columcille
