  1. There were not many historical movements in my district. One of the historical movements in my district was when the Black and Tans were in Ireland There is a place between Carron and Turlough called Caipear pass and there were a great many black and Tans killed there.
    There is an old castle in Turlough and Cromwell knocked it.
    There is also an old castle in castle-town and the townland is called castletown after the castle. Hugh O'Donell and his army raided it the year 1599.
