  1. There was man once and he was making a churn of a Sunday and it would not make for him. He took the cover off the churn to see why it was not making, and a little man jumped out of it when he opened it. So he never tried to make a churn of a Sunday after that. It was my father that told me this but I do not know who it happened to or where it happened. All these are superstitions about butter making. It was my father that told me all those superstitions but I do not know whether they are true or false
