was a fog on Mount Callen it is a sign of rain. If flies were running the road it is a sign of rain. If the sky was red at the north it is a sign of fine weather. If there was blue or green light in the fire it is a sign of rain. If the smoke went up straight out of the chimney it is a sign of fine weather, and if it came down to the ground it is a sign of rain. I knew these signs myself.
