  1. There are many herbs which do much harm to the land, nettles, thistles, and dog leaves. Thistles grow mostly in good land, and nettles, and ferrins grow in bad land. When people have rheumatism they burn their body with nettles to cure it.
    Nettles are often used for food for turkeys, and thistles, and dog leaves are used for food for pigs. There are some of those herbs which are poison. There is a green herb with red nut in it, and people say that it would poison a person to eat those nuts.
