    Lough Graney 20 :5: 1938
Lough Graney is situated in this parish. It is called Graney after Grania the daughter of the king of Ireland had habits like a dog she used to come down in the nights and lick the pots and somebody tasked it to her.
She felt very bad bad to herself and was foolish enough to drown herself in the lake. She was drowned in Lough Graney her body was found in Derry Hraney and she is buried in Toom graney .That is the reason it is called Lough Graney.
