    The churns they had long ago.
    Long ago the people had no churns until the dash churns were made.Until then they used make a couple of prints in a bottle or in a tin-can.Every May night they used make a bit in a bottle and store it up for the whole round of the year for luck.
    They used make the butter twice a week and give some to the poor people that had no cows.Every May night also people used milk other cows and keep the milk and make butter from it. When the owners would go out to milk them, they would only get a small quantity.They would not know who had it done and so say nothing.Some people had only two cows while
