    Long ago when the people used to be together in cuaird during Shrove ,they used to draw down about getting the son or daughter of that house married. They would ask the son or daughter would they take the person they had picked for them and they would say yes or no.
    Then the couple would go off of them and select a bit of land .The son would not see the girl he was going to get or the daughter would not see the man .Then they would kill a big pig for the wedding and
