    29th. March, 1938.
    There are (six) eightvarietes of potatoes sown in this part of the country.They are (1) "Aran Banners"
    (2) "Queens" (3) "Kerr pinks"(4)"Champions" (5) "Land Leagures"
    (6)"Epicures"(7)" Dates"(8) "Flounders". The "Land Leaguers" and the "Epicures" are sown early. All the sowing is done with spades.Sometimes timber ploughs are used for "landing"the potatoes
