Old shops long ago.
9th of May, 1938.
The old shop long ago was known as Mrs Cannys,The people used to bring an egg to her,and in return she would give them six sweets as a half penny worth.Sometimes they would bring a dozen of eggs and get whatever they wanted.Mrs Shoughnessy who used to be called Eily who lived near Hogans at the time had a shop in which she used to sell tea, and bread, and fish,and in the end she got burned to death.Sometimes there would peddlars come(continues on next page)- Collector
