  1. Landlords in olden times.
    8th March 1938.
The landlord in Derryulk district long ago was Mr Captain Moloney. He evicted these families the Rynes, Dooleys, Carthys, Hanrahans, Cannys, Hogans, McG, Mc, McInerys, and O'Briens, 25th February 1882. After a couple of weeks they built timber huts to live in. If the people were caught around their houses they would be put to Jail. Every day his soldiers would
be watching to see would the people go back to the houses. The most of the people in Derryulk district were evicted.
