    21st February,1938.
    Long ago,when the famine was in Ireland,the townland of DerryneBrone which is now called middle Derrulk was very thickly populated.The people was very poor ,and they used to turn fallow,that is they would dig the ground, and as the weather was very fine they would burn the scraws into ashes.After a cupple of years the ground got very poor, and they coulnt grow the crop,and
