- Long ago when Father Sheehy was hanged the blood was on the Canon's door and it is said that there is a cloud over Clonmel since.
- There was a tower in Saint Mary's Protestant Church. They say that priests were killed in the tower and it was haunted and that is why the people do not go in. They hid the chalices in the tunnel from the church under Mary St. to the river.
