  1. This is a story about a policeman who was killed on the road between the Nire and Clonmel and his soul was supposed to be lost. There was a man who was very fond of drink and his daughter went to town to fetch him. He was driving the car and the girl had her face turned back. First she saw a dog, then a sow, and third a policeman who came behind the car and she covered her face with her shawl. When she went home and saw the light she fainted and her parents sent for the priest and doctor and she told the priest what she had seen and he told her that
