    Local Marriage Customs.
    Most marriages take place before Lent in Clonmel. We believe locall that the month of May is a very unlucky month. June is said to be the month of roses, and we believe it to be a lucky month for marriage.
    There is a bit of poetry which says
    "Monday for health,
    Tuesday for wealth,
