    Halloween.
    It's the custom in Ireland to hold snap apple night on Halloween.
    The children have great fun at this game. In the olden days the people believed in covering all the looking glasses in the house on Halloween, as they believed that the family ghost would be seen if they looked in the glass. It is a common belief once very prevalent in this country.
