    Father Sheehy was hanged in Clonmel in 1738, for helping the Fenians. He was hanged and beheaded.
    He was Parish Priest of Clogheen, Co Tipperary. Through his exertions on behalf of the tenentry, he brought on himself the wrath of land-lord class; and was accused of enrolling Whiteboys,
