  1. The land of Ireland was owned by many different Landlords. The Landlord of Derrindaffe was Ormathwaith. The landlord of Trieneragh was Collis-Sands. Duagh was owned by the Fitzmaurices and Bateman. The two latter were good men. The Knight of Kerry owned the land of Listowel.
    Lord Ormathwait and Collis-Sands evicted the tenants because they could not pay their rents. The landlords divided the land into farms and these farms were subdivided
