- (continued from previous page)There are potatoes growing in our farm. There is about an acre of land sown under the potatoes each year. The farmers prepare the ground for the potatoes, some of them are sown in ridges and more of them in drills. The land is harrowed and ploughed in Winter and in Spring, then the land is made into drills. There were wooden spades used long ago, but now they changed for they were not much good.(continues on next page)
