  1. Long ago the old people used make candles from the fat of the cow. The fat was melted out and poured into a mould and a wick was drawn through the centre and left there to harden.
    The manufacture of woollen thread and cloth was very much practiced in this locality long ago. The wool was sheared off the sheep washed and combed when it was dry it was spun
