Severe Weather
In the year 1917 there was a great fall of (so) snow. It fell in January and lasted six weeks. It was five or six feet high in some parts. Some sheep and cattle got lost in that snow.
There was awful big wind in the year 1839. It knocked big trees and roofs off houses.
About the year 1888 there was a very big frost that lasted for seven weeks. It destroyed potatoes and turnips that were in pits. It was very hard for people and animals to travel. Abut the year 1925(continues on next page)
