  1. There is a lot of old houses in this parish. The were called mudwall houses.
    The fire place was in the gable end of the house. They had thatched roof and their was half-doors. The sort of windows that were in them were holes in the walls. Th sort of lights they had were rush candles The rushes were pulled and peeled dipped in tallow There is a ruin of a house in Killaderra it is over a hundred years old.
