  1. Long ago the people had houses which were mud wall houses. There were hardly any mud walled houses around here because there was a lot of stone.
    The mud houses were built of yellow clay and heather. They built it like cement. These houses were built very low the sidewalls were about for feet in height and the gable end was about eight fee in height. The houses we all thathed
