    In olden times shops were not very common. The old people used not have any money but used to go to the fairs and exchange with one another they used to give a horse for a cow and a sheep for a calf and so on. Tea and sugar and flour were not very plentiful in olden times. The old names for a sixpence was a tanner for a shilling was a bob for a pound a quid
