    The local fairs are Ballyforan, Ballygar, Athlone, Bbrideswell, Ballinasloe and Mount Talbot.
    In olden times fairs were held in Four Roads but owing to no buyers it went down but now they are beginning again In olden times fairs were held at cross-roads. In Athlone there is a special fair held for horses in January
