When the devil tried to let it go it stuck to him. “Let me go out of this” said the devil. “Come on”, said the man, “Come into the house I want to write”. He left out a chair for the devil to sit down. When he had the letter written he said “Come with me”. “I am stuck here” said the devil, “and let me go out of this”. “Come on so” I believe you could make a cow out of yourself.” “I can” said the devil. He did. “I believe you could make a florin out of yourself” said the man. “I could” said the devil. He did. “Now I have you, said the man. He put him in the purse. “Let me go” said the devil, “and I will never trouble you again.”
