  1. One time there was a man living in Laragan and his name was William Walsh. He was a poor farmer and in the month of June the grass began to grow on his land. He told his wife that he would go back to Letterfrack for a ewe and a lamb because he could not get any around here suitable. He got up early one morning and went to the fair of Letterfrack. He bought a ewe and a lamb at the fair and he came home from the fair the same evening. He had walked back and over in one day and he was not a bit tired.
