    In the year 1933 there was terrible thunder...

    (continued from previous page)
    Caherlistrane. The people thought he was dead for a few days because his face and his whole body were blue. The following year it killed three sheep belonging to a man in our village. It also burned a cock of hay on another man. People believe if they light a blessed candle it keeps away the lightning.
