  1. One day a man was ploughing in Dalgan and in the evening it made a very heavy thunder shower and after it there was thunder and lightning. The man took out his team of horses from under the plough and threw a few bags on it to keep the steel from attracting the lightning and he went home. He was just closing the field gate when he saw the bags on fire. The next morning he saw about twenty yards of the ground torn up by the lightning.
