  1. There was once two men living in Dalgan and their names were John mac Donagh and Tom Davin. One night they went in to the Dalgan orchard to steal apples. The landlord was living there that time but the major was dead and he used to appear in the garden. His tomb was near the garden. The men had to climb a big wall to get into the garden and they had to get a ladder. They were not long in until the major came to them and they got very much afraid. He followed them a little but but he went away again and disappeared again.
