St. Stephen's day falls on the 26th of December. It is a custom for the people to go out in the wren [rann] boys gathering pennys. [pennies]
They dress themselves up in such a way as they won't be known by anybody. They oput old clothes and masks on them and five or six and more than that sometimes go around from house to house playing music and dancing and then the people gives them a penny or two.
