  1. Derby Higgins was the name of a man who lived in Ballyheigue long ago. He was full of charms and it was said he used to get up before day in the month of May to get the charms off the sun.
    One day his sister Nora Higgins child was sick and he was walking up and down the floor to see would she ask him to cure the child. A person should be asked before he would work his charms.
