    to them. The abbess prayed to God, in answer to the prayers the invaders were struck blind. She had pity for them so she told to bathe their eyes in the waters of the well near by. They did so and their sight was restored.
    From that day to this people who have sore eyes go to the well and bathe their eyes in it.
    This was told to me by my Grandfather John who is now seventy one years of age.
