  1. Some years ago perhaps long over one hundred years or more, there was a ship laden with silver wrecked in Ballyheigue Bay. The crew were saved and were invited by the Crosbies, who owned Ballyheigue Castle at that time, to remain with them. They were received with kind hospitality there.
    During there stay there the ship was robbed (by) as was supposed by the Crosbie family, and the silver was buried somewhere
