  1. Churning.
    In olden times when there were no such thing as creameries the people made their own butter. They used a churn which was about four feet high. It was made of timber and on the top of it was a cover with a hole in the centre through which the staff went up and down.
    The butter was made twice a week in summer and once a week in winter. They made it in this way-: the cows were milked morning and evening, the milk was set
