Con Delaney was the strongest man in the parish of Ballyheigue at one time. He lived there about fifty years ago. He owned a small piece of land and kept a pony working on it. When the pony failed to pull a load he took him from the car and pulled it himself. When ploughing his piece of land he always ploughed it himself. He was the only man to catch a deer and hold him at the Castle at Ballyheigue.
