  1. The local Landlord was Lord Dun Alley. The family was settled in this district over 200 years ago. They were looked upon as bad Landlords. There have been evictions been carried on in our district. The evicted people went to America. The Landlords first came into possession when they got the land from the British in the seventeenth century. The Landlord exercised no powers over his tenants. They were not punished for trivial acts.
