  1. Long ago they had no goals it was parish against parish. The ball would be thrown up in the air and the best side to kick it home won. They used have no referee. Then they began to decide it in the field. They put down goals. If the ball went between one of the inner and outer post it would be a point. Then it was twenty one men at the side.
