  1. How to make a hat out of rushes, get some rushes and plait them and get some loose rushes and put them in the other part of the hat.
    The children long ago used make chairs of rushes and this is the way it was done. First there was a single rush put round the palm of the hand. Then there was a rush put around the palm of your hand and the first one doubled on it and all the rest put on the same way until the chair was made.
