  1. Last Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday the races were held in Listowel. We had no school those three days. I was at the races two days.
    There were more shows at the races this year than last year. I did not go to the Island. I was in the Market all day until the evening.
    The last day of the races was very bad and all the ground was muddy. I enjoyed the races very well. There were five races each day. I saw each race.
