  1. There are potatoes growing in our land. We set them in drills but if the land is not ploughed before, they are made into ridges.
    Before the potatoes are sown they are cut in sgiollans and there must be an eye in every piece. Then they are sown with lime or ashes or sand. When the stalks begin to appear above the ground we rise to them and they are sprayed.
    There are many varieties of potatoes. These are some of their names. Kerr-pinks Irish-Queens Orange-Banners Orange-Victors
