  1. Long ago bread used be made of wheat. Oat and meal used be got from the corn and bread was made from it. In the olden times the flour was made locally. Long ago the bread they had was potato cake. They had stampy long ago and oat and meal bread also. Long ago they used put water and milk in the flour. they seldom used make bread every day. Once a week they used make bread. They usually put a cut on the top of the bread to make it rise.
