  1. The railway bridge was burned in the year 1921 by the Black and Tans. Then they put rails across the river and many people were drowned crossing.
    One sunday a boy was bathing, himself and his brother. He went down under the water twice and the second time he stayed below and he was drowned before anyone had time to run to his aid.
    In 1921, the train was held up at the railway gates. One man stood before the train with a sledge and the train stopped. All the boys ran into it and they threw out everything in it and they carried all the things home.
    One day a man named Tom Hartnett was coming home from the town and near Gurtnaminch road his horse reared
