  1. There are several forts around this district. There are two forts in Ballyhorgan and two more in Lisshane and one in Mauncole. The two that are in Ballyhorgan can be seen from one another. One of them is surrounded with a stone ditch and the other with a black thorn hedge. The place inside is lower than the abroad.
