Marbles are a great game in our district. March is the time of the year for playing marbles. A ring is made with chalk and I put a marble in it then I would stand back about eight or nine feet from it and draw a line and "pink".
The tops are also played on March. There are two ways of playing tops. They are played with a whip and are played with a cord. The cord is wound around the natches in the top and then you would drop the top in the ground and pull the cord.
It is a customary thing for the people in the winter nights to play cards.
