  1. There were football matches in Ireland long ago. A man would hop the ball and all the men would run after it to catch it. My father was a footballer. They played Finuge. They won by three points. They had no goals but stones about three feet apart. They used have no referee. They began to decide it in the one field. There were about thirty in each team. They used be playing on Sundays as well as on holy days. They used to wear red jersies. This match was held all the day. There was about thirty at each side
