    There was once a man who married and had one daughter.

    There was once a man who married and had one daughter. His wife died while the little girl was still young. He married again so as to have some person to take care of the child. The new wife had two daughters and then she grew jealous of the stepchild. When the girl grew up she was made "scrub" and do all the work round the house
