These are the wild birds we have in this district:- thrush, blackbird, robin, crow, swallow, lack, linnet, chaffinch, owl, seagull, snipe, cuckoo, bullfinch, sparrow, gold finch, veet, pheasant, wood-cock, wren, yellow hammer, grouse, magpie, water-hen, corn-crake, tom-tit, curlew, crane, starling, jackdaw, green plover, swans, pigeon, wild duck, willie the sink, hawk.
    The Thrush builds her nest in a white thorn bush. It is made of sops of hay, moss and mud. The kind of eggs she lays are blue, with brown spots on them. She usually lays four or five eggs. She stays with us all the year round.
