  1. We have the month of September now. There are thirty days in September. It is the second month of Autumn. The days are short and the nights are getting long. The fruit is growing on the trees. The weather is getting cold. The people are very busy cutting the oats. Winter is the coldest season of the year because there is frost and snow on the ground. There are not many birds now for they are gone to foreign countries. The sun rises high in the sky and gives out great heat. The blackberries are just ripe. The grass is growing
