  1. We have the month of February now. There are twenty eight days in February. The days are getting long and the nights are getting short. February is the first month of spring. The grass is growing in the fields. The birds are to be heard singing in the sky. The people have to work hard now for the spring is coming. They have to set their potatoes and oats. They have to do many jobs beside. The sun rises high in the sky and gives out better heat than it used during the winter and does not set until late in the evening.
